Building Controls Technician III - Wonderware/Aveva

About The Position
This is a senior-level Controls Technician role focused on delivering mission-critical BMS service projects across Central and Northern New Jersey. Unlike Tech II, Tech III candidates must operate independently at a high level: leading troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, and integration tasks in live data center environments. This role directly supports a key client with high uptime and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 5-12+ years hands-on experience in BMS, SCADA, PLCs, or HVAC controls (senior-level only).
- Independent troubleshooting + commissioning in live data centers (client-facing).
- Strong proficiency in Wonderware/Aveva
- Strong HVAC grounding (control sequences, integration)
- Ability to interpret and apply mechanical drawings and control schematics.
- Willingness to be at the client site 5-days a week; M-F.
- Must not only have InTouch HMI or MES experience (without System Platform/Historian/Dev Studio).
- Must have SCADA/PLC exposure.
- Must be willing to travel daily across NJ.
- Must have strong communication skills and independent project ownership.
