Requirements

Knowledge of floor and roof truss design process.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints.
Ability to calculate tributary loads, concentrated loads, and load transfer through a building.
Knowledge of current local codes associated with truss design.
Good written and oral communication skills, especially with customers.
Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years experience in truss industry.

Nice To Haves

Experience using MiTek, Alpine, InteliBuild, or ITW software.

Responsibilities

Design roof and floor trusses using MiTek software, ensuring accuracy, optimization, and adherence to standards.
Generate accurate pricing and material quantities for estimating.
Create truss placement layouts for final construction.
Read and interpret architectural and structural blueprints.
Communicate with customers, salesmen, architects, and engineers to ensure design accuracy.
Provide job-site support when requested, with the aid of the sales department.
Attend and participate in all required Company-sponsored training programs.
Adhere to all safety protocols and Company policies and procedures.
Perform any other duties, responsibilities, or tasks as assigned.
