About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and professional Hybrid Caretaker to join our team at a 14-floor, 127-unit residential building located in Burnaby, East Hastings Street. In this dynamic role, you will provide a combination of caretaker and janitorial services, and building maintenance and administrative responsibilities, while responding promptly to client needs and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

Requirements

Strong administrative skills
Flexibility, availability, and the ability to address requests promptly
Proven experience in janitorial, caretaker, or related fields
Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Janitorial experience is an asset

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise the site.
Monitor and maintain the garbage and recycling rooms.
Coordinate and supervise annual and seasonal building services and inspections.
Program enter-phone, fobs, and issue keys.
Install/take down elevator pads for move-ins/outs.
Collect funds as directed, post notices, send emails, and submit a weekly report.
Maintain consistent communication with the property manager to ensure the building is secure, well-maintained, and operating smoothly.
Meet tradespeople and instruct on specific requests and provide feedback to PM.
Respond promptly to tenant questions and requests.
Report any concerning issues with tenants or residents to the property manager.
Pick up litter around the entire exterior areas of the building, including sidewalks, courtyards, and driveway ramps.
Sweep and damp mop hard surface floors using a neutral cleaner.
Clean door frames, disinfect door handles, polish entry code panels, and vacuum walk-off mats.
