About The Position

The Chandler School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of elementary building-based Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Our school is a Preschool-Grade 2 early childhood school with 720 students and 140 dedicated staff members. We look forward to working with parents to meet the academic, emotional, social, and physical needs of their children. Requirements

Associate degree
Experience working with students with and without disabilities
Flexibility and the ability to collaborate with students, teachers, support staff, and administrators

Nice To Haves

Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teacher Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Providing continuity of instruction in the absence of the regular teacher
Implementing lesson plans created by the teacher
Fulfilling other non-instructional duties during the instructional day
Supporting student learning across all settings
Perform other such duties as assigned by the building administrator or their designee
