About The Position

Hunton Services, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, has a new and exciting opportunity for a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician. The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, diagnosis, and repair of environmental-comfort systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, hydronic theory, and modern control techniques. Requirements

Must possess a valid Texas driver's license with a safe driving record (no violations within the past 3 years)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, and programming
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Problem-solving skills
Must have an associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school in HVAC, Computer Science or related field
2-5 years of HVAC Journeyman experience
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience programming and performing start-up and commissioning on any brand Building Automation System.
Must have field experience in installation techniques and servicing/troubleshooting/repairing BAS equipment

Nice To Haves

Tridium AX and/or N4 certification
Distech and/or Trane experience

Responsibilities

Responsible for installing and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Uses a variety of hand tools and laptop computers, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC equipment.
Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs instruments and products at a customer's location.
Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining the building layout, anticipating potential issues, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies.
Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, mis-calibration, malfunction, and drift).
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Supports HVAC Field Technicians by providing technical assistance and offering guidance.
Provides training and follow-up training at a customer's site.
Utilizes project plans to prioritize and schedule work sequences.
Determines parts to order for repairs and the timeliness of need.
Provides technical support to customers.
