Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Service Specialist or in a comparable field-service role, with related industry knowledge.
  • Experience with HVAC and security installations.
  • Proficiency with building systems and applications of Schneider Electric technology.
  • Demonstrated communication skills for working directly with customers, project teams, and other trades.
  • Ability to coordinate on-site work and operate under the daily supervision of a Field Service Supervisor while reporting to the Field Service Manager.
  • A 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
  • EcoStruxure Building: WorkStation and System Design certification (required within the first year).
  • EcoStruxure Building: Technician certification (required within the first year).
  • EBO WorkStation and Design certification (required within the first year).
  • EBO Technician certification (required within the first year).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute field-service work for building management systems.
  • Support project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer communication.
  • Develop and implement hardware selections and software applications for assigned customers.
  • Troubleshoot and compare customer systems to identify and resolve deficiencies.
  • Create, load, test, check out, and start up system databases and building systems.
  • Manage scheduled maintenance agreements and perform warranty work.
  • Coordinate on-site activities with project teams, subcontractors, other trades, commissioning agents, and customers.
  • Request and deliver materials as required to support project execution.
  • Provide on-site customer training and recommend system improvements or modifications.
  • Develop multi-year customer system upgrade plans, including short- and long-term budgets and account plans.
  • Work with customers to develop and implement advanced energy-savings or building-analytics solutions.
  • Engineer small to medium projects, including upgrades and enhancements.
  • Lead the resolution of internal and external project deficiencies in coordination with the project team.
  • Coach and mentor junior service personnel.
