About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Building Automation Project Manager, HVAC Data Center to manage project scope, schedules, and budgets, oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning, and maintain ongoing communication with clients. This role involves identifying and mitigating project risks, managing contract documents, reviewing submittals and drawings, tracking change orders and expenses, and maintaining accurate project records. The position also includes assigning commissioning work, overseeing field personnel, approving timecards and Bill of Materials (BoM), and providing monthly project updates to senior management.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction project management.
  • Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation.
  • Technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and project planning skills with attention to detail.
  • OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution.
  • Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents.
  • Review and approve engineering submittments and technical drawings before handoff.
  • Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro.
  • Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel.
  • Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians.
  • Approve and manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for each project.
  • Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management.
