About The Position

The West Chester Area School District has an opening for a 1.0 Building Assessment Coordinator - GES. This supplemental contract position is responsible for coordinating the scheduling and administration of state, national, and district assessments. The role involves developing and delivering training sessions for school personnel on assessment protocols, procedures, and best practices. The coordinator will assist administration with distributing, collecting, and returning test materials in accordance with state and local requirements, and monitor district test security protocols. Additionally, the position requires communicating assessment-related information to stakeholders, overseeing the accurate and timely entry of local assessment data into the district's information systems, and collaborating with the district's data team to analyze assessment data and identify trends.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research.
  • Possess effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside professional contacts.
  • Proficiency in Spreadsheets (Excel, sheets), including using functions and data analysis.
  • Qualified candidate will be required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and to talk and hear.
  • Sit and occasionally be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.
  • Have specific vision abilities, to include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Possess effective communication, judgmental, planning and human relations skills.
  • Will be required to work under periods of stress due to the level of the position responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the scheduling and administration of state, national, and district assessments.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for school personnel on assessment protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist administration with distributing, collecting and returning all test materials in accordance with state and local requirements and guidelines.
  • Assist administration with monitoring district test security protocols for all assessments.
  • Communicate assessment-related information to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist administration to oversee the accurate and timely entry of local assessment data into the district's information systems.
  • Collaborate with the district's data team to analyze assessment data and identify trends.
