About The Position

BUILDING AIDE (PreK-8th Grade) Must-Haves - High-priority skills and qualities Engages in culturally responsive, equitable, and anti-racist practices Continuously reflects, grows, and develops professional practice Makes decisions aligned with the SLLIS Mission, Values, and Purpose Believes in the capacity of each child to achieve at high levels Cultivates a collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused culture Approaches all situations with an asset-based and growth mindset Develops and uses effective organization systems Communicates in a proactive, timely, and effective manner Minimum Qualifications Must have completed at least one of the following: 36 college credit hours Completed Missouri’s 20-hour online substitute training program Nice-to-Haves - Skills and qualities that are a plus but not necessarily a requirement Successful experience in an elementary or middle school setting Fluency in French, Mandarin, or Spanish Responsibilities Assignments vary by building needs. Support lunch and recess periods by providing active supervision. Monitor student culture and safety building-wide. Oversee various areas of classroom instruction following guides provided by the classroom teacher. Lead whole class, small group, and individual learning. Collaborate with the entire K-8 team to promote higher levels of learning for all students. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position is competitive and ranges from $37,450 - $43,228 depending on experience.
