About The Position

As a Builder at David Weekley Homes, you’ll take pride in building more than homes, you’ll be building communities. In this role you will oversee subcontractors, manage the entire residential construction process from start to finish and ensure a fantastic experience for our customers with your commitment to excellence. We’re looking for a proactive communicator who takes ownership and keeps both homeowners and our teams delighted through the process. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Managerial oversight of home construction from breaking ground to completion- ensuring high-quality, on-time and cost-efficient delivery Build strong relationships with homeowners through clear communication, meetings, and walkthroughs, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction Schedule, coordinate, and manage 30+ subcontractors while maintaining strong relationships and holding teams accountable for quality and safety standards Working closely with Sales, Warranty, and Office Team to deliver a seamless building and closing experience Maintain a professional, clean and organized job site aligned with company and safety standards Monitor Budgets to control construction costs and prepare daily, monthly & quarterly reports

Requirements

  • Prior residential production building experience is required, 3+ years of field management preferred
  • Proven ability to schedule, supervise, and motivate trade partners while upholding David Weekley Homes’ standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with homeowners, vendors, and internal teams
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective computer skills to handle job costing, payroll & communication with vendors & trades, as well as coworkers
  • College education is preferred
