About The Position

Signature Homes is a 100% employee-owned homebuilder operating in Birmingham, AL and Nashville, TN. Our mission is to enhance the lives of our homeowners by creating great communities, understanding their lifestyles, and delivering a world-class building experience. Signature Homes is currently seeking a Builder Superintendent in the Birmingham, AL market. This individual will oversee the construction of 8-12 homes within an assigned community while working alongside a team of builders. This individual is responsible for delivering homes on schedule, maintaining exceptional quality standards, ensuring an outstanding customer experience, and driving accountability among trade partners throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced production homebuilding environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of residential construction management experience required.
• Knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, building codes, and construction sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and mobile technology.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of residential construction from frame drop through homeowner closing.
• Maintain accurate construction schedules and ensure homes are completed on time.
• Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor progress, verify quality, and address issues proactively.
• Manage trade partners to ensure quality workmanship and schedule adherence.
• Utilize company systems to maintain schedules, track progress, and manage job information.
• Lead customer-facing meetings including builder calls, lot walks, and frame reviews.
• Maintain community appearance and jobsite cleanliness
• Drive quality, accuracy, and accountability among trade partners to ensure all work is completed according to Signature Homes standards
