About The Position

Williams Kitchen & Bath is looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to join their Grand Rapids sales and design team. Our primary customers are professional builders or remodelers. The candidate should have an excellent attitude and be reliable as they generate business through walk-in customers and by going outside of the showroom to call on potential customers. Ideal candidates are detailed oriented, experienced with design, and possess problem-solving skills to reinvent spaces. A background check and drug screen are required prior to employment.

Requirements

  • Kitchen & Bath design and sales knowledge
  • Strong design software skills (2020 Design software a plus/CAD)
  • Accuracy with numbers and details
  • Willing to travel for product training
  • Strong interior design required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in new construction and/or remodeling a plus.
  • Kitchen & Bath Design knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales team on designs, ordering, presentation packages, and customer assistance.
  • Responsible for retail sales when not involved with sales team.
  • Engage with customers and provide the best customer service.
  • In the case of existing accounts, engage with the customer as needed and inform the account owner of the meeting and information.
  • Work as a “team” with assigned Sales Professional. Responsible for being in constant communication with assigned Sales Professional. If Sales Professional is out, the Designer can assist their customers.
  • Work with assigned Sales Professional on schedule as needed and assists with outside activities like measuring. If Designer needs to measure a retail job, work with assigned Sales Professional and Showroom Management on store coverage.
  • Designing, costing, and timely execution of 20/20 drawings.
  • Prepare bids and proposals with summary sheet, drawings, spec sheets as requested.
  • Print take-offs as requested.
  • Research specific products as requested.
  • Engage with customers and provide the best customer experience.
  • Set up and maintain accurate AIA billing for all projects assigned to you.
  • Maintain contract documentation for all projects assigned to you.
  • Ensure monthly pay applications are prepared, reviewed and submitted on time.
  • Participate in training meetings.
  • Participate in sales meetings.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, established work processes and Company policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
