About The Position

The role of a Build Technician is to assist in building complex assemblies for low volume autonomous vehicle production. As a Build Technician you will work closely with the production team to construct intricate components, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. This position requires the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and exceptional attention to detail. Strong manual dexterity, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment are also crucial for success in this role. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following assembly instructions and specifications.
  • General knowledge of interior and exterior vehicle assembly, service, and aftermarket modifications
  • Ability to view and interpret CAD images; basic PC skills required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Technical diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years experience in assembling complex mechanical and electrical systems in robotics, passenger vehicle, or heavy trucking or a related field, preferred
  • Experience working in a team environment is highly desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Certification in robotics or electronics is a plus
  • Journeyman or Apprenticeship training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team to assemble complex components for low volume autonomous vehicle production
  • Follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate assembly of intricate assemblies
  • Conduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and functionality of assembled components
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues or discrepancies that may arise during the production process
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Adhere to deadlines and production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure on-time delivery
