This role involves maintaining and safeguarding confidential information, ensuring patient medication safety, and assisting customers with the dispensation process for medication as regulated by the office of medical cannabis. The position requires completing operational requirements by maintaining an organized workflow, verifying preparation and labeling of medications, and verifying order entries and charges. The Budtender will utilize computer systems for daily operations, including patient communication, refill orders, appointments, and home deliveries, and will be responsible for accurate input of patient and provider demographic information in the seed-to-sale software system. Additionally, the role includes managing the cash register, completing opening/closing procedures, and ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations pertaining to medical cannabis under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Recordkeeping and reporting for state compliance are also key responsibilities. The Budtender will attend staff meetings and continuing education, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and assist patients through the dispensary process. Educating patients on the proper use and storage of medical cannabis medications, following the Green Goods customer service model, and working with supervisors to set and accomplish goals are also part of the role. The Budtender will respond to all patient communication platforms and troubleshoot patient issues regarding product usage. Other duties as assigned.
