About The Position
True North Cannabis Co. & True North Vapes are looking for energetic, customer-focused individuals to join their team in a dynamic dual-retail environment. In this role, you will support both cannabis and vape/tobacco operations while delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining strict compliance with Ontario regulations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is passionate about customer service, product knowledge, and teamwork.
Requirements
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- CannSell Certification (required before start date)
- 1+ year of retail or customer service experience (regulated industry preferred)
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Previous keyholder or leadership experience is an asset
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers with a friendly, professional approach
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on cannabis and vape products
- Deliver a high level of customer engagement and product education
- Upsell and cross-sell to meet individual and store sales goals
- Handle customer questions or concerns with professionalism and care
- Verify age (19+) in accordance with AGCO and provincial regulations
- Follow all cannabis and tobacco compliance standards
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising
- Assist with inventory (receiving, stocking, rotating products)
- Support store events, audits, and safety procedures
- Open and close the store following company procedures
- Complete cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting
- Lead the sales floor in the absence of management
- Ensure team adherence to policies, safety, and compliance
- Act as a point of contact for staff and customers during shifts
