By joining the Division of Financial Management, Capital Construction Branch as a Budget Manager in Franklin county, you will have the opportunity to work with the analysis and resolution of cabinet capital budget issues, work with the cabinet's six year capital plan and biennial budget, and manage employees responsible for the daily operations of the branch.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Six years of professional experience in budget administration, financial analysis and/or forecasting, statistical analysis, accounting, financial auditing, or a related field.
  • Professional experience in budget administration, financial analysis and/or forecasting, statistics, accounting, financial auditing, planning, or related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with eMars; specifically capital account tracking and transactions.
  • Experience with eComm.
  • State budgeting experience.
  • Proficient in excel.
  • Understanding of construction project management.

Responsibilities

  • Manages budget specialists, federal program specialists and activities within the Branch.
  • Reviews and approves all capital construction eMars transactions and SAS documents.
  • Coordinates the Cabinet's Six Year Captial Plan.
  • Keeps management informed of financial impacts and concerns.
