About The Position

OMB requires contractor support to assist multiple NOAA Fisheries offices (aka FMCs) with various administrative support functions. The Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) mission is to support NOAA Fisheries programs in executing their responsibilities. MB coordinates national planning and development efforts, ensuring that the appropriate internal and external stakeholders are involved. MB provides guidance and direction to NOAA Fisheries in the areas of strategic planning, budget formulation and execution, performance management, enterprise risk management, safety and environmental compliance, facilities and asset management, security, loans, grant and acquisition management, internal controls and compliance, appeals freedom of information act, administrative inquiries and other administrative areas.

Requirements

0 to 2 years of experience in related field.
Requires a BS/BA degree (or equivalent)
Selected candidates may undergo a government security investigation and must fulfill eligibility criteria for accessing classified information.
US citizenship may be a prerequisite for certain roles.

Responsibilities

Review and examine financial statements and reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established accounting classifications.
Reconcile financial reports and supporting documentation to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors.
Verify financial data for accuracy and ensure information is properly documented and maintained.
Prepare basic financial statements and reports based on established guidelines and procedures.
Research and resolve routine discrepancies in financial records and supporting documentation.
Prepare tables, charts, spreadsheets, and other financial exhibits for reports and presentations.
Organize and compile financial information to support reporting and management review.
