GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) is a state agency dedicated to partnering with communities to help create a climate of success for Georgia's families and businesses. Team members are at their best when they collaborate and support one another as they perform challenging and dynamic work. SUMMARY DCA is seeking one qualified Budget Director candidate. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for overseeing activities related to budget preparation. Supervises the preparation, maintenance, and management of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs $300+ million budget. Provides leadership to subordinate managers and staff. Advises directors/program managers on funding availability and budget management-related activities for the offices/programs. Performs a variety of complex studies, research, and reporting. Assumes responsibility for the Office of Budget and performs other related work as required.
