The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a talented Budget Analyst to collaborate with leaders across Washington’s judicial branch. This role is responsible for preparing, reviewing, submitting, and monitoring biennial and supplemental operating budgets for the Washington State Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Administrative Office of the Courts, Office of Public Defense, and Office of Civil and Legal Aid. The position also leads grant development strategies, attracting federal, state, and private grant funding, and building processes for grant acquisition and management. This includes guiding grant research, analyzing funding opportunities, providing recommendations on multi-program initiatives, and crafting statewide policies and communications to strengthen grant pursuit and management within Washington’s courts. Reporting to the Management Services Associate Director, this role combines professional-level budget development with leadership in grant management. It involves close collaboration with AOC management, the Office of Financial Management, legislative staff, executive leadership, program teams, contracts staff, grant recipients, auditors, and funding agencies. The position offers a high degree of independence, decision-making authority, and the opportunity to interpret funding requirements and establish agency-wide standards for financial stewardship.
