About The Position

The Budget Analyst supports federal budget formulation and execution. The role requires administering current-year funding and obligations, preparing related financial reporting, consolidating information for financial forecasts and budgetary products, monitoring spending and execution risks, maintaining financial controls, supporting program offices throughout the execution cycle, and ensuring compliance with budgetary guidance from Congress, DOJ, OMB, and other oversight authorities.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in federal budget formulation and execution.
• Working knowledge of administering current-year funding, obligations, and related financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of consolidating information to assist with financial forecasts and budgetary products.
• Working knowledge of monitoring spending, identifying execution risks, and maintaining financial controls.
• Working knowledge of supporting program offices throughout the execution cycle.
• Working knowledge of compliance with budgetary guidance from Congress, DOJ, OMB, and other oversight authorities.
