About The Position

This role supports contingent workforce initiatives and related staffing efforts. The Budget Analyst (Senior) will support the development and coordination of acquisition and financial documentation required to execute program objectives. This includes assisting with acquisition strategy reports, procurement initiation documentation, performance work statements, funding documents, CDRLs, and baseline-related materials. The analyst will also analyze budget execution, funding requirements, and financial status to support program decision-making, and review program procedures, documentation, and financial products for completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable guidance. Additionally, the role involves developing financial inputs for briefs, point papers, correspondence, reports, meetings, conferences, and review boards, and supporting program milestone events, budget reviews, acquisition reviews, and internal coordination meetings. Coordination with acquisition, contracting, business financial management, logistics, and technical stakeholders is essential. The analyst will track program funding actions, financial issues, suspense items, and documentation status, and prepare senior-level analysis and recommendations related to budget execution, acquisition planning, and program risk. Providing clear written and verbal updates to government and contractor leadership is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience or MA/MS degree in a relevant discipline
  • Over 10 years of experience performing duties similar to the functional description.
  • 5 years of experience supporting Naval aviation or comparable DoD acquisition programs.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work effectively with government, military, and contractor stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional briefs, reports, and correspondence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting ACAT or major defense acquisition programs.
  • Strong understanding of acquisition documentation, funding documents, CDRLs, and performance work statements.
  • Experience preparing senior-level briefs and program review materials.
