About The Position

Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Full-time BSA Analyst I for our Grove Creek Service Center Office. This role is responsible for monitoring daily reports for newly opened CIFs and accounts (including deposits and loans), monitoring BAM+ reports to ensure Due Diligence fields are completed accurately, performing CIP Review and communicating errors with Retail Branch Managers, assisting branches with fraud, and helping with other assigned BSA related tasks. The primary focus of the BSA Analyst is to provide support to the BSA team within Altabank’s Bank Secrecy Act program. This includes becoming knowledgeable and staying abreast of all BSA policies, procedures, and regulations, and complying with applicable laws and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. The role also requires completing required bank training courses, adhering to Altabank Core Values, keeping management informed of activities and problems, participating in community service and bank-sponsored activities, and providing superior internal and external customer service. The employee must represent Altabank professionally, maintain a tidy work area, keep customer privacy, and attend meetings as required. Regular and predictable attendance is essential for in-person customer contact. Duties can change.

Requirements

  • One year to two years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of BSA/AML filing requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must have good customer service skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and good attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work independently and have good communication and computer skills.
  • Employee must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Ability to adapt to change (e.g. shifting priorities, demands, and timelines) through time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing Clients for CIP, ADD, and CDD.
  • Reviewing and distributing exception reports to applicable division staff for corrective action.
  • Following-up to assure corrections are made.
  • Assuring all BSA related information, documentation, and communications are handled in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Initial OFAC verification.
  • Help assist branches when there is fraud.
  • Assist with review of Beneficial Ownership.
  • Provide support to the BSA team within Altabank’s Bank Secrecy Act program.
  • Become knowledgeable and stay abreast of all BSA policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s).
  • Adhere to Altabank Core Values.
  • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of the Altabank.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
