About The Position

The purpose of this position is to conduct skilled mechanical work and vehicle maintenance of light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks under the direct supervision of a supervisor. Conducts complete mechanical work including preventive maintenance, proper documentation of work and recordation, maintenance and safeguard of working tools and equipment, maintenance of safe and clean working area and correct/proper maintenance and repair procedures. Employee also diagnoses, adjusts, re-aligns and/or repairs various refuse equipment including automated, semi-automated, and trailers. This job works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.

Requirements

Skilled mechanical work and vehicle maintenance of light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.
Preventive maintenance.
Proper documentation of work and recordation.
Maintenance and safeguard of working tools and equipment.
Maintenance of safe and clean working area.
Correct/proper maintenance and repair procedures.
Diagnose, adjust, re-align and/or repair various refuse equipment including automated, semi-automated, and trailers.
