About The Position

This is an in-office position located in Richmond, VA. The role involves assisting the department Manager or Supervisor with day-to-day operations by understanding tasks and workflow, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and regulatory guidelines, and handling more complex tasks. The position requires processing transactions, performing critical functions, aiding with audit and compliance requests, maintaining service levels, resolving issues, and applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The specialist will also be responsible for complex tasks, answering policy and procedural questions, providing guidance, performing supervisory reviews of critical functions, retrieving and monitoring exception reports, creating and maintaining department procedures, and training new teammates. A demonstration of initiative, commitment to continuous learning, and adaptability to changing business demands is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in brokerage operations
  • Knowledge of advanced concepts, principles and practices of assigned functional area(s)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Driven to achieve results, thrive in a fast paced environment and required to solve problems and make decisions based on sound judgement

Responsibilities
