About The Position

The Broker of Record is the regulatory anchor of the brokerage and a trusted partner to thousands of agents across Ontario. This role protects how the brokerage operates, raises the bar on agent practice, and represents Right at Home Realty (RAHR) with regulators, industry bodies, and the broader real estate community. The objective is to ensure RAHR operates with full compliance and confidence, while creating an environment where agents feel supported, accountable, and set up to do their best work. The role involves working alongside managing brokers, the leadership team, and the wider myAbode network to maintain high standards and support agent progress.

Requirements

  • Active Ontario Broker license
  • 5+ years as a Broker of Record or Broker Manager
  • Deep expertise in TRESA, RECO, FINTRAC, and the broader Ontario regulatory landscape
  • Demonstrated experience managing RECO complaints, E&O claims, and regulatory audits
  • Strong command of trust account and commission account reconciliations
  • Sound judgment and discretion in complex, sensitive situations
  • Strong communicator who can build trust across a large, distributed agent base
  • Resourceful and comfortable operating in ambiguity
  • Collaborative and approachable
  • Energized by a dynamic, fast-moving, tech-forward brokerage

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance, risk, and regulatory oversight, ensuring operations align with TRESA, RECO, FINTRAC, and the broader regulatory landscape.
  • Own audit readiness, manage RECO complaints, E&O claims, and legal matters, representing RAHR in regulatory proceedings when required.
  • Keep brokerage policy current and approve financial records for compliance.
  • Support and develop agents by leading education, communications, and coaching to ensure they are sharp, confident, and well-supported.
  • Partner with Managing Brokers and BORs across the myAbode network on cross-brokerage matters.
  • Act as a member of RAHR's senior leadership team, contributing to the strategic direction of the brokerage, including growth, evolution, and operations.
  • Participate across the myAbode network of brands where compliance, agent experience, and brokerage strategy intersect.
  • Represent RAHR with regulators, industry associations, and local Boards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and build a positive, credible presence for RAHR in the broader real estate community.

Benefits
