Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of broking or related experience
  • French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • Client focused and proven relationship building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Proven track record to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure
  • Must have strong digital literacy and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with underwriters to secure the best terms and competitive pricing for both existing and new clients
  • Verify the accuracy of all policies and documentation, ensuring they comply with the agreed terms and conditions
  • Collaborate with Account Directors to develop coverage strategies and initiatives in preparation for renewals and business development
  • Analyze clients’ current and potential risks to determine insurance needs, then prepare and present marketing proposals for renewals and new opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the underwriting community in the best interest of clients
  • Approve documentation related to new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions, and renewals
  • Lead by example by promoting and sharing best practices across all areas of the business
