About The Position

The individual selected for this position will be responsible for working in the field collecting and processing blood, extracting fat samples, swabbing birds, collecting water, and collecting bacteria samples. The job will require driving a company vehicle.

Requirements

• Must have experience in broiler positions
• Must be willing to work all hours scheduled
• Must be capable of performing simple math
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated
• Able to lift a minimum of 80 pounds
• Must have excellent driving record and current valid driver’s license
• Able to work in a hot, high humidity, dusty environment
• Must be able to complete paperwork for laboratory submission of samples
• Must have positive attitude and be able to work well with others
• Excellent work, safety and attendance record
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Must be able to retrieve and handle bird bodily fluids

Responsibilities

• Routinely collects and process blood, culture and tissue samples
• Complete necessary paperwork to submit samples to laboratory
• Assist in placement of pullet flocks
• Collect blood, fat, and swabs for bird movements
• Collecting water samples and other routine sampling
• Perform other duties as directed or assigned
