About The Position

Delaware North’s Patina Group is hiring a full-time or part-time Broiler Cook to join our team at Banners Kitchen and Tap in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Cook 3, you will showcase your skills and be a visible leader in the kitchen. Partnering with management team members, you will plan menus, deliver food to quality standards, train kitchen team members, operate kitchen equipment, uphold all health codes and sanitation regulations, and monitor the quantities, labor, and overhead costs. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of previous Broiler Cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as Bruins and Celtics home games
  • Knowledge of different cuts of meat and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes.
  • Basic math skills; ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions.

Nice To Haves

  • Participation in a culinary program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of grilled or broiled food items such as steaks, burgers, and seafood
  • Operate broilers, grills, and other cooking equipment
  • Season and marinate meats according to established recipes
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of perishable items
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties and end-of-day inventory, and other duties in accordance with company checklists and procedures.
  • Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
  • Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet.
  • May be required to perform other duties as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the team and organization.
