Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Broiler Cook or Line Cook in a high-volume or fine dining restaurant preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of broiling techniques, meat temperatures, seafood preparation, and proper cooking methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock the broiler station with all necessary ingredients, equipment, and supplies prior to service.
  • Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients according to established recipes and specifications.
  • Cook menu items to the appropriate temperature, doneness, and presentation standards while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and fellow line cooks to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
  • Follow all recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines.
  • Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process and ensure all dishes meet company standards before leaving the kitchen.
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Keep the broiler station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
  • Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and minimizing food waste.
  • Maintain and properly care for all kitchen equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all health, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and professional work environment while supporting fellow team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
