About The Position

92NY School Engagement in the Arts brings arts residencies, performances, and learning experiences to thousands of K-12 students and educators across New York City each year. We are seeking artists and educators in writing, theater, or dance to lead Broadway Spotlight residencies for NYC public high school classrooms. The program uses featured Broadway productions as entry points for students to explore storytelling, performance, movement, writing, and the experience of live theater. This role teaches through one assigned discipline and supports students in analyzing live theater and creating original writing, scenes, choreography, or performance work that reflects their ideas and learning. Writing and Theater tracks use a pre-developed curriculum; Dance assignments are Teaching Artist-led and aligned with program goals. Applicants should indicate whether they are applying for Writing, Theater, or Dance in their cover letter.
