About The Position

This position will help maintain IT systems that are in place, work on IT projects and help resolve problem requests. This includes support of computer hardware and software, network systems, monitoring systems and workstation software. Additionally, this position provides maintenance for North Carolina Public Radios’ studios, equipment, automation, AoIP and digital audio library systems. S/he maintains the AoIP network and perform daily/monthly maintenance tasks to keep the facilities running smoothly with minimal interruption. The range of duties is diverse, encompassing anything from replacing a pair of headphones, to setting up a remote broadcast, to installing a new digital console. S/he also spends time travelling to WUNC’s studios and transmitter sites in surrounding cities for maintenance or assistance to our Engineer. This position will help bridge IT and Engineering. Finally work on Facilities projects will be essential, being the liaison or primary project manager on Facilities and building issues and projects.
