About The Position

The Broadcast and Media Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the college’s broadcast studio and related audiovisual technologies. The position oversees studio equipment, production workflows, and technical standards to ensure high-quality audio and video content for institutional use. The Coordinator produces and supports multimedia content for marketing and communications, academic initiatives, and the Performing Arts Series. Responsibilities include recording, live streaming, editing, and post-production of events, performances, and promotional materials. The role also collaborates with Information Technology to support large-scale campus events, lectures, and public programs, assisting with setup, troubleshooting, and live production needs. The Broadcast and Media Coordinator works closely with administration, faculty, staff, students, and external partners to support creative, instructional, and outreach efforts while maintaining reliable, professional broadcast operations.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in broadcast production, audiovisual technology management, media production, or a related professional environment.
  • Experience managing and maintaining audio-visual equipment

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the broadcast studio, including audiovisual equipment oversight, software, production workflows, studio scheduling, and staffing.
  • Maintain studio and event technology inventories; recommend upgrades, replacements, and maintenance.
  • Plan, produce, record, live stream, and edit audio and video content for marketing, instructional materials, public events, and institutional communications.
  • Provide technical production support for the Performing Arts Series, including live recording, streaming, audio reinforcement, lighting coordination, and post-production.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and marketing/communications teams to develop multimedia content supporting academic programs, recruitment, and community outreach.
  • Coordinate with external partners on creative and technical projects as needed.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coordinate the student broadcast media club, providing training in studio operations and production techniques.
  • Recruit, schedule, and evaluate student workers or volunteers supporting broadcast and media production.
  • Develop and document studio policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure consistent, professional, and compliant operations.
  • Ensure accessibility, copyright, and release requirements are met for recorded and broadcast content.
  • Stay current with emerging broadcast, media, and instructional technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations and student learning.
  • Ensure commitment to the highest business ethics; protect confidential information and communicate with discretion in all matters related to media content and institutional recordings.
  • Maintain and safeguard equipment, software, and studio facilities.
