Broadband Sales Specialist

About The Position

OmniCable is seeking an experienced, talented, and tenacious Sales Specialist to lead sales for its Broadband Business Unit (BBU). This role operates in a fast-paced, start-up environment and reports to the Sales Director, Broadband. The Sales Specialist will provide essential subject matter expertise and sales execution to support the Omni sales organization, as well as Broadband customers and Suppliers. This position will act as an overlay to the existing Omni sales team and will also carry an account-based quota for select accounts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Inside Sales experience
  • Broadband and/or Datacom industry experience
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with corporate productivity and presentation tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and Gross Profit in the assigned region/accounts for the Broadband Business Unit, supporting Omni Account Managers, TSM’s, and CSC’s.
  • Align sales efforts and strategy with supplier strategies, participating in and supporting supplier initiatives and programs.
  • Participate, support, and collaborate on Go to Market Strategies and programs to drive growth and profitability.
  • Maintain a funnel of opportunities in the assigned format consistent with sales goals.
  • Provide input on inventory levels and programs to the supply chain and procurement team.
  • Build and communicate progress, including KPIs and progress towards goals, to the organization.
  • Collaborate with the BBU, Omni sales leadership, and Account Managers to continuously improve BBU performance.
  • Assess business trends in inventory, competitor information, pricing patterns, and customer concerns, collaborating with BBU and Omni teams to optimize stock position.
  • Act as an escalation point for customer issues.
  • Collaborate with the BBU and Omni team on orders and workforce flow to promote a unified team with solid communication.
  • Demonstrate leadership and serve as an example to the team regarding OmniCable company culture.
