About The Position

The main responsibility of the Brine Facility Operator is to operate and maintain the solution mining facility for Client under contractual arrangement with Gulf ESS. Individuals will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining all the components of the solution mining facility and performing regular, preventative maintenance of pumps, valves, control equipment, pipelines and similar equipment as needed, as well as some occasional reactive repair work.

Requirements

• 3+ years of field experience in an industrial facilities operations position
• Valid Utah driver’s license
• Available for rotating shifts as in days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• General computer skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by Gulf’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies

Nice To Haves

• Basic Mechanical experience including fluid piping systems
• Basic electrical experience including troubleshooting and repair knowledge of pneumatic, electronic, and digital transmitters and controllers, switches, and other process instrumentation
• Preventative Maintenance Programs experience
• Equipment Operating and Rigging Certifications
• Knowledge of ASME, API, and ANSI national codes is ideal

Responsibilities

• Make several daily rounds of Salt Cavern Wells, Disposal Wells, and other related equipment to ensure proper operation and checking for faulty equipment, pipe leaks, malfunctioning pumps, valves, etc.
• Operate equipment such as starting, stopping, or adjusting speed of pumps as needed, valve alignment, and general maintenance
• Interface with operations personnel from other organizations, Gulf customers and vendors
• Work a rotating shift to cover 24x7 operation
• Follow written instruction and procedures as well as verbal commands from the Lead Operator
• Adhere to established safety and operational procedures for the solution mining facility and follow all Gulf internal protocols and procedures for all environmental requirements
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct
• Adhere to Gulf’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
