About The Position

A Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is hiring a Bridge Structural Engineer for its Naperville team. The position involves bridge and retaining wall design, support for federally funded transportation projects, structural engineering studies, and structural services for municipal, county, and state clients. The role also requires attending client and office meetings and traveling throughout Illinois service areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience completing structural engineering design plans and studies.
• Proficiency in MicroStation design software.
• Ability to travel throughout Illinois service areas using personal transportation.
• Ability to independently manage a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
• Authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Licensed Structural Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Complete bridge and retaining wall design plans in accordance with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, other state DOT, and AASHTO standards.
• Complete or assist with IDOT or Local Agency Federal Aid Phase I and II projects for a variety of clients.
• Lead or assist with structural engineering studies in Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, and Texas.
• Provide structural engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients, including inspections, evaluation reports, and plan reviews.
• Attend client and in-office meetings as required.
