Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Bridge Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Porter, Texas area, specifically on IH-45. This role involves a variety of tasks including highway maintenance, inspections, bridge and concrete repair, and structure maintenance, while adhering to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in the construction industry.
Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge, structure construction, concrete form/placement, and repair work.
Roadway or tollway maintenance experience.
Must pass a criminal background check.
High School Diploma/GED.
Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e., criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing).
Must have organizational and presentation skills.
Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
Carry out simple arithmetic functions.
Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job.
Ability to use smart phone and applications.
Ability to adjust to changing work schedule and multi-task.
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting.
Company will conduct Background check, MVR and Controlled Substance testing prior to hire.

Nice To Haves

Must be able to work with computer and smart phone applications.
MOT Certifications (traffic control).
Clean driving record is essential.
CDL A License a plus.
Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance operations in the Porter, Texas area, specifically on IH-45.
Perform a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, inspections, bridge and concrete repair, and structure maintenance.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
Perform strenuous manual labor.
Operate hand/power tools.
Work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions.
Be placed on an on-call schedule.
Work during snow and ice events.
