Requirements

• Three years as a Highway Foreman 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Five years of technical experience in highway maintenance or highway construction
• An equivalent combination of experience and training
• Meet the PA residency requirement
• Be able to perform essential job functions

Responsibilities

• Develop county bridge repair programs, analyze needs, and prepare project lists and estimates
• Work with engineers, crews, and agencies to obtain permits, schedule work and secure required materials
• Inspect repair work, interpret structural plans, and supervise complex construction activities
• Ensure prompt handling of urgent bridge repairs and support crews during critical situations
• Track salvaged materials, monitor inventory, and arrange transfers across counties
• Direct building maintenance personnel and promote safe and efficient work practices
