About The Position

As a Bridge Foreman, you’ll take charge of crews performing critical bridge maintenance and repair work that keeps railroads safe and reliable. This leadership role combines hands-on oversight with planning and problem-solving, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards. If you’re a natural leader who values safety, precision, and teamwork, this role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on rail infrastructure. This position requires 100% travel.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of work experience
  • Conflict resolution skills to effectively manage in a safety sensitive team environment
  • Ability to complete written forms and reports as required
  • Able to read and interpret documents including safety rules, manuals, and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, applications, reporting, etc.)
  • Knowledge of roadway-worker protection regulations
  • Possess situational awareness and decision-making abilities to respond effectively in a safety sensitive environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Pre-employment physical, hearing, and vision medical review
  • Subject to federally mandated drug and alcohol testing including pre-employment drug screening
  • Background screening including criminal and motor vehicle driving history

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus or able to obtain one if required.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the daily bridge-maintenance and gang-work activities
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth, organized railroad operations
  • Enforce compliance with safety procedures and maintain records as required
  • Monitor and control budgets related to bridge projects and other activities
  • Comply with all federal, state, and other applicable railroad safety and operational regulations (i.e. General Code of Operating Rules, FRA Track and Bridge Worker Safety Standards, safety rules)
  • Skilled in reading plans, evaluating site conditions, and determining safe, practical methods for handling, analysis, and problem-solving; adept at identifying issues and implementing timely resolutions
  • Manage other projects and perform other duties as assigned
