Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida (FL) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Bridge Structures team. This is not a remote position. The role involves serving as a technical lead on bridge design projects, performing structural analysis, design, and planning for bridges and other transportation structures. The engineer will develop complete sets of structural drawings and technical specifications independently. Project types may include bridge design, box culvert design, and retaining wall design. Additionally, the role includes training and mentoring Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering, conducting structural design calculations, overseeing plan production, and preparing project document submittal packages while maintaining a Quality Control program. The position also involves leading and supporting construction phase efforts, and participating in client, contractor, and design team meetings. A key aspect of the role is contributing to identifying new project opportunities through networking.
