Bridge Engineer-Intern

WRA is currently looking for motivated civil engineering students to join our Transportation - Bridge team in our Baltimore office. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience working alongside our experienced bridge engineering team on a variety of transportation projects.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Strong interest in bridge and transportation engineering.
- Basic knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to engineering software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, or structural analysis programs) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with the design and analysis of highway and transit-related bridges and structures.
- Support project teams with preparing plans, reports, and calculations.
- Perform fieldwork including bridge inspections and data collection, as needed.
- Conduct research and apply engineering principles to solve real-world design challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a professional engineering environment.
Benefits
- The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $21.50 - $24.50. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
