About The Position

PRIME AE Group, Inc. seeks a Bridge Engineer in Columbus, OH. This role involves performing structural load calculations, developing bridge plans and specifications, and overseeing geometric layout and quantity development. The engineer will also check design calculations, construction cost estimates, and plan development produced by other engineers. Typical projects include precast concrete girder (pre-stressed and/or post-tensioned) and steel plate or steel box girder for highway, waterway, and rail projects. The position requires strong technical skills in engineering analysis and design, with a proven background of technical leadership. Responsibilities include acting as a Technical Specialist or Task Leader on large projects, supervising Junior Engineers, report preparation, and frequent client interaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related (or its equivalent)
• 3 years of experience
• EIT or PE required
• 2 years of experience in bridge plan production in a professional setting
• 2 years of experience in various aspects of bridge design projects
• 2 years of experience in Microsoft Office, CADD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and structural design software
• Must also have authority to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities
