About The Position

AECOM is looking for a Bridge Design & Inspection Engineer II to enhance the capabilities of AECOM's regional bridge team being based in AECOM's Louisville, Ky office. The role requires the ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision. The engineer will prepare contract drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, technical reports, and construction cost estimates. Additionally, the role involves performing existing bridge inspection, condition assessment, and developing rehabilitation strategies, as well as performing existing bridge design tasks based on client protocols and solid engineering assessments in coordination with AECOM project manager's direction.

Requirements

BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Need to be able to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in civil (Structural) engineering.
2+ years of bridge design experience.
Master's degree a plus
Experience with related project work with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) standards, etc.
EIT highky preferred
Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc.

Responsibilities
