Bridge Design Engineer II
About The Position
AECOM is looking for a Bridge Design Engineer II to enhance the capabilities of AECOM's regional bridge team being based in AECOM's Denver, CO. office. Job Duties may include but are not limited to: Excellent written and oral communication skills. This position is an opportunity to work within a well-established group offering diverse projects, technical challenges, and career development opportunities. Need to be able to perform work independently with minimal supervision. Prepare contract drawings, technical specifications, design calculations, technical reports, and construction cost estimates. Perform existing bridge inspection, and condition assessment, and develop rehabilitation strategies.
Requirements
- BA/BS + 2 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Need to be able to perform work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in civil (Structural) engineering.
- 2+ years of bridge design experience.
- Master's degree a plus
- Experience with related project work with Colorado DOT / City of Denver, etc.
- Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc.
- Railroad bridge design experience is a plus.
