About The Position

The Bridal Seamstress plays a vital role in ensuring every bridal gown meets the company’s highest standards of craftsmanship, fit, and finish before reaching a bride. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, advanced sewing and repair skills, and in-depth knowledge of bridal gown construction and luxury fabrics. This is a full-time, onsite role that supports quality control, returns evaluation, garment repair, and occasional design and production needs. The position involves working both independently and collaboratively with quality, production, design, and returns teams.

Requirements

  • Professional experience sewing bridal gowns or couture-level garments
  • Strong understanding of bridal construction techniques, including boning, lining, interfacing, and finishing
  • Proven expertise in garment inspection, alterations, and high-end repairs
  • Experience working with delicate, luxury, or specialty fabrics
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Comfort with documentation, quality records, and tracking systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of bridal gowns, evaluating construction, finishing, embellishments, beadwork, lace placement, and overall presentation
  • Verify measurements, fit, and proportions against approved patterns and size specifications
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing garments to ensure all alterations, repairs, and adjustments meet company standards
  • Identify, document, and track defects, construction issues, or deviations from production standards
  • Accurately maintain QC checklists, condition reports, and repair documentation
  • Communicate quality findings clearly with production, design, and returns teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on manufacturing quality
  • Ensure every gown meets brand expectations for structure, craftsmanship, and luxury finish
  • Independently assess returned bridal gowns for damages, construction issues, or alteration concerns
  • Determine appropriate repair solutions while maintaining original design integrity
  • Perform skilled repairs and corrections using techniques suitable for high-end bridal garments
  • Document garment condition and all repair work thoroughly and accurately
  • Manage daily workload efficiently while meeting timelines and quality benchmarks
  • Perform delicate hand and machine sewing for repairs, reinforcements, and embellishment adjustments
  • Work with luxury bridal fabrics including silk, satin, tulle, chiffon, organza, lace, and embroidered appliqués
  • Execute precision construction tasks such as hemming, seam adjustments, beadwork repair, and structural corrections
