About The Position

An independent contractor role for an experienced bridal seamstress who works one-on-one with brides throughout the gown alteration process. Bookings are provided through the platform. The seamstress conducts fittings, customizes wedding gowns and other ceremony attire, and guides brides on alteration options and timelines. Contractors set their schedules and rates within platform guidelines, build a public profile to showcase their work, and are paid through the platform after each completed job.

Requirements

• Demonstrated bridal alteration experience; a portfolio or references are welcomed.
• Confidence working with high-value gowns and patience to fit them properly.
• Strong customer-facing presence and the ability to reassure brides.
• A reliable workspace with adequate space for fitting and steaming.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns.
• Customize gowns through hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications.
• Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference.
• Alter bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and other ceremony attire alongside the main gown.
• Explain alteration possibilities, timelines, and what brides should expect on the day.
