About The Position
Seeking an experienced bridal seamstress for an independent contractor role focused on custom fittings and alterations for brides. You will work one-on-one with brides throughout the entire alteration process, from initial fittings to final adjustments. Bookings are provided through our platform, allowing you to build your profile and earn referrals.
Requirements
- Demonstrated bridal alteration experience (portfolio or references welcomed).
- Confidence working with high-value gowns and patience for proper fitting.
- Strong customer-facing presence.
- Reliable workspace with adequate space for fitting and steaming.
Responsibilities
- Conduct first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns.
- Customize gowns for each bride, including hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications.
- Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference.
- Handle alterations for bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and other ceremony attire.
- Communicate with brides about alteration possibilities, timelines, and expectations.
