About The Position
Seeking an experienced bridal seamstress for an independent contractor role focused on custom fittings and alterations for brides. You will work one-on-one with brides throughout the entire alteration process, from initial fittings to final adjustments. Bookings are provided through our platform, allowing you to build your profile and earn repeat referrals.
Requirements
- Demonstrated bridal alteration experience (portfolio or references welcomed).
- Confidence working with high-value gowns.
- Patience to fit gowns properly.
- Strong customer-facing presence.
- Reliable workspace with adequate space for fitting and steaming.
Responsibilities
- Conduct first, second, and final fittings with brides for their wedding gowns.
- Customize gowns for each bride, including hemming, side seams, bodice shaping, neckline adjustments, and sleeve modifications.
- Create bustles tailored to the dress design and the bride's preference.
- Handle alterations for bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and ceremony attire.
- Communicate with brides about alteration possibilities, timelines, and day-of expectations.
