About The Position
Brewistas execute Brewista’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. They report to the stand management team and the shift leaders working their shift. Through genuine, respectful interactions, Brewistas build up customers, teammates, and vendors. During each shift, they prepare drinks, take orders, serve customers, clean, and stock. The position requires maintaining urgency, productivity, and a safe, sanitary work environment while following company procedures and standards. Duties and requirements may change at the discretion of the Company and its owners or managers.
Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and late nights.
- Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
- Regularly work weekends and be available to work holidays if necessary.
- Ability to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions.
- Ability to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
- Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods regardless of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand on feet for several hours at a time.
- Ability to climb a ladder and use a step ladder.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean.
- Ability to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through lane.
- Ability to safely use a utility knife.
Responsibilities
- Confirm customers’ drink orders and accurately enter them into the point-of-sale system.
- Collect payments and accurately count back change.
- Prepare all drinks and premixes.
- Work with urgency and on the customer’s time.
- Remain productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
- Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
- Know the menu and drink customizations, help customers identify and order the drinks they want, and offer suggestions when appropriate.
- Maintain good hygiene and appropriate appearance and dress for the assigned position.
- Follow shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores.
- Be clocked in and ready at the assigned position when the shift begins.
- Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
