About The Position

Under the direction of the Production leadership team, the Brewer is responsible for a wide range of production activities, including wort production, fermentation, filtration, yeast management, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. This role requires exceptional motivation, a strong work ethic, and professionalism in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The Brewer must be safety-focused, quality-driven, and a collaborative team member.

Requirements

  • Passion for craft beer and brewing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production brewery.
  • Experience in recipe development and pilot batching.
  • Practical brewing knowledge and the ability to manage brewhouse operations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexible schedule and adaptability to change.
  • Strong organizational and cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
  • Understanding of health and safety compliance.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 55 lbs. and be on feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Bottling or canning line experience (preferred).
  • Forklift experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Brew, transfer, and cellar beer.
  • Operate a production brewing system.
  • Perform cleaning processes on tanks, cellar equipment, and the brewhouse.
  • Harvest, pitch, and manage yeast.
  • Execute dry-hopping and beer fining.
  • Monitor fermentation processes and ensure proper yeast management.
  • Mill and stage recipes accurately.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures and accurate record-keeping.
  • Handle and manipulate hoses, parts, pumps, buckets, and reservoirs.
  • Conduct cellar and packaging operations as needed.
  • Implement quality control and assurance practices.
  • Maintain workplace safety while upholding quality standards.
  • Sanitize all beer contact surfaces and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop seasonal, firkin, and barrel-aged beers.
  • Support front-of-house operations with keg filling, line cleaning, and other tasks.
  • Comply with safety and health regulations.
  • Train new staff when required.
  • Maintain accurate and legible records.
  • Represent the brand at events and festivals on and off-site.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
