Breezeway/Yard Associate - Full Time
About The Position
The primary purpose of this role is to maintain customer service according to company standards, generate sales, handle housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, point of sale operations, process freight, and perform loss prevention in adherence to all company policies and store standards. This position involves direct customer interaction, including greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting them in locating products. The associate will also be responsible for loading feed and merchandise into customer vehicles, operating a forklift, dispensing propane, answering phone calls, and maintaining constant radio communication with other associates. A comprehensive knowledge of Coastal Farm products and promotions is essential, as is assisting with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and general store housekeeping. Additional duties include helping in other departments as needed and performing daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, replacing trash bags, and sweeping.
Requirements
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
- Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably familiar with standard retail concepts and practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the products Coastal Farm sells.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge every customer, answer customer questions, and help customers find the location of products.
- Load feed and merchandise into customers vehicles.

- Help in other departments when needed.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
